Congratulations to our High School Mock Trial students who created teams of 7 to 8 and took on the roles of attorneys or witnesses at Duquesne University!

They were responsible for reading the case file in its entirety, memorizing witness statements, creating and anticipating questions for direct and cross examination, and creating a cohesive case for either the plaintiff or the defense.

Deer Lakes had three teams in total, two acting as the defense and one acting as the plaintiff. The two defense teams won their cases, with the judges noting that students gave some of the best cross examinations they had ever seen at the high school level.
