Paiton Yeager earns SkillsUSA Pennsylvania Championship

Congratulations to Deer Lakes’ Paiton Yeager and Northgate's Cassidy Auth and North Hills' Rowan Ashmore who earned gold medals and the state championships in their SkillsUSA Pennsylvania competition!
Paiton, Cassidy and Rowan earned first place in the Promotional Bulletin Board competition and qualified for Nationals in June in Atlanta, GA!
They used a caveman-inspired theme to go along with the SkillsUSA theme of “Ignite Your Potential.” The bulletin board had to follow specific rules, including having interchangeable parts made out paper materials. They also had to have a binder that detailed their process.
The group, which attends A.W. Beattie for Advertising Design, began working together in the fall in hopes of placing at states.
“It felt great to win, because our team was fifth last year and we felt we could do better,” Paiton said. “We followed every rule so specifically and wanted to medal and hopefully get first. So, it feels great to win and to move on to nationals.”
Good Luck at Nationals!
