Congratulations to our Deer Lakes High School Students who have earned induction into the French National Honor Society inductees! La Société Honoraire de Français was first established in November 1949. The aim of the society is to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic attainments, to create enthusiasm for civilization, to promote and perpetuate international friendship, and to reward efforts toward furthering solidarity in the French-speaking world. To be eligible for French National Honor Society, students must maintain an A average all of their years in French and must maintain a B average in their other courses. The Deer Lakes chapter's name is Societe Honoraire de Francais de Saint-Exupery, after the author of The Little Princ.
